Sparkling Peach Smoothie

So it's Friday afternoon and I'm thinking Happy Hour! Mom version. What, you haven't heard of that? You probably hope for one every day if you are mom of young kids. It goes like this: You darlings get in your beds and take a nap for an hour so I can have a few minutes to make myself lunch and do all the things I've been wanting to do like...the dishes! And if you stay up there for a whole hour I will be happy! And then I will play with you some more. : )

If you really want to make it a happy hour though make yourself a refreshing little drink. Like this low-cal smoothie.

It's really strawberry, peach, grape, and lime, but that's too long for a title. And August is like world peach month right? Anyway, it's really quick and easy and delicious! You'll have it blended before your little ones fall asleep. I was reading some healthy smoothie blog posts somewhere and read some nutritionist saying if you want to make your smoothies lower calorie or lower sugar you should use water instead of juice or whatever liquid you usually use. So I thought I would try Sprite Zero because you get a little of the lemon-lime flavor, but no extra calories. Here's the recipe:

Sparkling Peach Smoothie

1 cup frozen sliced strawberries
1 peach peeled and chopped
1/2 cup grapes frozen or fresh
1- 1.5 cup(s) sprite zero (or your favorite diet clear)

Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth, enjoy. Share if you have to. Makes about 16-20 oz.

Here's hoping everyone has a happy hour today. Have a great weekend friends!

Thanks for being here.
- Haley

    1. I used red seedless grapes for this one. I think they tend to be sweeter than green, but I'm sure either would taste great! Thanks for stoping by!
